Here you can specify layout of the template. You can use existing shared layout or the custom layout that will be used only for this template.

You can also check out the layout to file to edit the layout in any external application (editor). Once the layout is checked-out, you can check it in so any external changes to file will be reflected in CMS. You can also undo check out so changes won’t be taken into account.
